I have spent many hours around this part of the Moor. It's a January view, bleak yet not stark.
Looking from the Victoria cottages side of Waterside, towards the pool, with the Metropolitan line hidden amongst the trees.
This is the ‘other side’ of my 'Morning Frost' painting.
I love the bullrushes, all broken and collapsing, yet still maintaining majesty and height in places.
The river Chess runs around it, although invisible in this image, but creating the environment for the bullrushes to flourish.
The oak tree, so statuesque in its solitary position in the centre of the marsh.
Surrounded by large tufts of grasses and broken rushes. An area that isn’t walkable.
Untouched. Natural. Unspoilt. Raw & Beautiful. What a view from your window.
